THE LIBRARY OF CONGRESS telah menerima kontribusi besar musik dari UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP. donasi ini mencakup berbagai rekaman dari periode 1926-1948. The New York Times melaporkan hal tersebut "berisi musik yang mewakili setiap genre utama dari lagu populer Amerika masa itu - jazz, blues, country dan pop, periode pra-rock-'n'-roll - serta beberapa  klasik dan berbicara dengan seleksi kata. Satu sorot bersejarah adalah master rekaman tahun 1947 versi Bing Crosby,  yang menurut Guinness World Records adalah single terlaris sepanjang masa.. "
"Ini adalah harta karun, sebuah-mil plus bahan di rak, sebagian besar musik yang telah keluar dari sirkulasi selama bertahun-tahun," kata Kepala Bagian THE LIBRARY OF CONGRESS Sound Direkam Of The Motion Picture, Broadcasting Dan Direkam oleh Divisi Sound GEN Deanna. "Anda tidak bisa mendapatkan salinan yang lebih baik dari ini, sehingga ini merupakan upgrade besar."
